Elevate gives comprehensive scholarships so that more diverse women and non-binary people can access tertiary STEM education, professional skills development and leadership opportunities.
Elevate gives comprehensive scholarships so that more diverse women and non-binary people can access tertiary STEM education, professional skills development and leadership opportunities.
For 2027, Elevate is supporting undergraduate students, across the country, including continuing support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and non-binary people to access STEM degrees.
The Elevate program provides:
• A scholarship
• Access to skill-building workshops
• Access to peer mentoring and networking events
• Access to 24/7 wellbeing and psychosocial support
Applications open: 1 July 2026
Information session: 5 August 2026 REGISTER
Applications close: 1 September 2026, 9.00 am AEST
Assessment period: September-October 2026
Scholarships announced: mid-November 2026
Scholarships commence: January 2027
Applicants are required to meet all three eligibility criteria:
ATSE particularly encourages applications from individuals who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander; individuals from regional, rural or remote areas; LGBTQIA+; individuals from culturally or linguistically diverse backgrounds; low-socioeconomic backgrounds; or those living with a disability. Diversity, inclusion, and achievement relative to opportunity will be considered in the assessment and selection process.
