Elevate addresses gender inequities in STEM through fostering industry-academia collaborations in research and business, growing professional skills in STEM and propelling scholars into leadership.
ATSE's Elevate: Boosting women in STEM program will award up to 500 undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships to women and non-binary people in STEM. Elevate aims to address gender inequities in STEM through fostering more women and non-binary led industry-academia collaborations in applied research and business, growing professional skills of women in STEM and propelling women and non-binary people into leadership.
The Elevate program provides:
• A scholarship
• Access to events and networking
• Mentoring
• Wellbeing support during scholars’ university studies
Elevate scholarships are awarded across three categories – Undergraduate, Postgraduate Research and Leadership. The program is funded by the Department of Industry, Science and Resources and the Department of Defence. A network of partner organisations from across industry and academia support program delivery.

Applications open: 1 May 2024, 12:01am AEST (AEST)
Applications close: 30 August 2024, 5:00pm (AEST)
Assessment period: September and October 2024
Scholarships announced: November 2024
Scholarships commence: January 2025
