IMNIS Engage for Mentees

IMNIS Engage is open to STEM 2nd and 3rd-year PhD students, as well as early career researchers (up to 5 years post-PhD) who are seeking support to connect with industry, collaborate across the sector and enhance their career opportunities.

What are the benefits of the program for mentees?

Mentees are selected and supported to participate in IMNIS Engage by their university or research organisation.

IMNIS Engage for Mentors

Becoming an IMNIS mentor opens the opportunity to support Australia’s future leaders and connect with your future workforce. By sharing your knowledge and expertise, you contribute to a stronger, innovative and skilled STEM workforce. Mentors also benefit from the opportunity to gain new perspectives and ideas from their mentees, and to connect with the broader sector through ATSE activities.

IMNIS Engage for organisations

IMNIS supports universities and research organisations industry engagement goals by offering opportunities for their PhD students and early career researchers to develop industry skills and knowledge, create connections to extend their professional network and learn about different career opportunities.

The scope of IMNIS Engage provides increased opportunities for participation across all science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines. Furthermore, it proudly embraces and respects Indigenous Knowledges within the STEM landscape. All IMNIS Engage mentees participate in and benefit from industry mentoring, professional development programs and networking events.
