Australia’s leading tech and engineering academy has welcomed the Australian Government’s new Office of AI and said it must focus on investing in the people, standards and infrastructure needed to compete globally.
ATSE is encouraging the Australian Government to progress the SERD reforms to strengthen Australia’s innovation system and future prosperity.
The National AI Plan released today by the Federal Government needs a stronger focus on building robust national capabilities if we want to create a world-leading AI ecosystem for the nation.
ATSE welcomes the Australian Government’s announcement today that it will establish an AI Safety Institute, which was a recommendation of ATSE’s Unleashing growth: Australia’s AI Investment blueprintreport.
