Dr Tony Peacock FTSE FAICD Director
Dr Tony Peacock is an innovation consultant and company director. Following his PhD at the University of Sydney, he was a researcher at the Universities of Melbourne and Saskatchewan. He led the Pig Research and Development Corporation, the Pest Animal Control CRC, the Invasive Animals CRC and the Cooperative Research Centres Association. For 15 years, he was a regular on ABC Canberra, firstly with 'Feral Talkback' and then on Australian innovation. He was awarded the Australian Government Eureka Award for the Promotion of Public Awareness of Science and a distinguished alumni award from the University of Sydney. He was the 2014 Monash University Churchill Fellow on Industry-University relationships in the USA, UK, Germany and Singapore. Tony currently chairs the Australasian Pork Research Institute and is a Director of the Marine Bioproducts CRC and the Solutions for Antimicrobial Resistance in Agribusiness, Food, and Environments CRC. He is also a director of Peacock Consulting and has worked with governments in Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, New Caledonia, various Australian states, corporations, and universities. He is an Adjunct Professor of Applied Ecology at the University of Canberra and has represented ATSE in Japan.

Professor Tony Peacock plays a critical role in the Cooperative Research Centres Program as CEO of the CRC Association. He has personally raised the profile of the program, provided invaluable support for existing Centres and proponents of new proposals, effectively communicated with Governments and the broader community on issues relating to CRCs and also on the innovation and education systems in general. Tony has played a major role in the critical issue in Australia of improving collaboration between industry, universities and other research organisations.
A distinguished researcher, he was previously the CEO of two successful CRCs.
