Professor Stephen (Steve) Foster has made long-term, important contributions to Australian industry and practice in the area of concrete and concrete structures. He has played a major role in advancing the quality of concrete structures through Australian and International Standards, both via his own research contributions and national committee chairmanship/membership. Considered alongside his many other influential roles and appointments, his extensive record of engagement and collaboration with industry, and his high public profile as an authority in the field, he would be a valuable addition to ATSE.
