Sally-Ann Williams is an Australian business leader focused on deep technology, innovation, and STEM inclusion. She transformed Cicada Innovations into a national deep tech powerhouse, helping ventures raise over $6.1 billion. Currently, Sally-Ann serves on boards including Bank Australia, the Australian Research Council, and AusOcean. She is also a member of the NSW Innovation & Productivity Council. Previously, she spent over a decade at Google, leading R&D collaborations and STEM education initiatives. She chaired the Federal Government's Pathway to Diversity in STEM Review and is a Fellow of ATSE and a member of Chief Executive Women. Sally-Ann holds honorary doctorates from Griffith University and UTS, and frequently speaks on leadership, technology, and inclusion.

Biography at time of election

Sally-Ann Williams is an international leader driving engagement and change strategies in innovation and entrepreneurship across the STEM sector. She champions education and diversity and Chairs the Pathway to Diversity in STEM Review for the Federal Government. As CEO of Cicada Innovations she has enabled extraordinary growth in Deep-Tech commercialisation programs, such as CSL’s biomedical incubator, producing a five-fold increase in trained STEM professionals. She is a Board Member of diverse organisations including AusOcean, NSW Smart Sensing Network and the Tech Central Advisory Board, and an advisor to incubators/accelerators including Startmate, the Modern Manufacturing Initiative and Boosting Female Founders Program.
