Paul Haddad is a world leader in the field of separation technologies for inorganic species. His research has led to over 280 publications and to numerous important applications, including major innovations in process monitoring in the gold industry.

He is editor of an international journal and is on the editorial boards of seven other journals. He holds a senior position on the Australian Research Council and is currently Dean of the Faculty of Science & Engineering at the University of Tasmania, where he has achieved extensive management efficiencies, improved research
performance, and has established two major collaborative research institutes with the Tasmanian government.
