Through his roles, both in CSIRO and Food Science Australia, Dr Micheal Eyles has been responsible for establishing and leading research programs in food safety, food quality and food manufacture which are all vital to the food sector.

He has developed a strong and strategic research agenda with excellent scientific, technological and commercial linkages to the food industry.

His leadership has ensured the successful establishment of Food Science Australia, the alrgest food research organisation in Australia.

His outstanding knowledge and expertise in the fields of food microbiology and food science have been major factors in ensuring the safety and quality of foods.
