Professor Menachem Elimelech is widely recognised for his seminal contributions to the development of membrane processes for desalination and water reuse and for educating the next generation of university professors and industry leaders in chemical and environmental engineering. He is a Fellow of the US National Academy of Engineering, a foreign fellow of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the recipient of major international awards including the prestigious Eni Prize. He is one of the most impactful leaders in the world in his field. He has made an outstanding contribution to research collaborations between the US and Australia.
