Graeme Moad is a recognised world leader in the design and synthesis of polymers. His collaborations with industry have resulted in 37 patent families. These include preeminent radical chemistry for controlling the composition and architecture, and therefore the properties, of polymers, thus widening the range of their industrial applications. He has devoted his career to the broader adaptation and utilisation of polymer technologies by companies, particularly Australian manufacturers. His expertise will support the Academy’s Ensuring Industry Technology Readiness strategy and initiatives to develop a circular economy for plastics.
