David Noon is co-founder and CEO of GroundProbe, and co-inventor of the patented Slope Stability Radar technology. David has led the successful global commercialisation of this new technology, which is now considered world’s common practice in mining. David is also a Vice President of Orica. Orica owns 100% of GroundProbe. David has a BE degree (with first class honours) and a PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and has completed executive management and entrepreneurial training at Stanford University and MIT. David has on the Board of Analog Quantum Circuits (AQC), a start-up company in superconducting quantum computing.

Dr David Noon is co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer of GroundProbe Pty Ltd. He is co-inventor of the company's Slope Stability Radar technology which is now used in open-cut mines across the world to predict potentially catastrophic failures of steep rock walls. His expertise and drive have been responsible for the rapid growth of an Australian high-tech company into one with commercially successful, global operations. Dr Noon's rare blend of technical expertise, entrepreneurial outlook, business nous and commitment to clients and to safety has attracted numerous national and international awards, including the 2008 ATSE Clunies Ross Award.
