Ms. Livingstone led the development of an effective phased business planning process for the Nucleus group of companies while progressing to Group Chief Financial Officer before becoming CEO of Chochlear in 1994 and taking Cochlear to its ASX listing in 1995.

Ms. Livingstone developed and implemented the changes necessary to grow Chochlear to a truly global company, dominant in its field. These involved a true integration of Values, Core Process Mapping and optimisation, consolidating the company's role as a Technology Integrator and rolling this into a continously updated Strategic Planning/Implementation process. Over the period she took Cochlear to a $1.5 Billion high technology global company exporting to over 50 countries.
