ATSE congratulates its 26 Fellows named as part of the Top 100 Australian Scientists by Robyn Williams on the ABC Science Show.

The Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering congratulates the 26 ATSE Fellows named as part of the Top 100 Australian Scientists by Robyn Williams on the ABC Science Show.

This year, Robyn Williams has replicated the Hottest 100 concept of best Australian songs for the best Australian scientists – the most famous and the little-known. The list covers historical figures and current researchers, all contributing innovations, inventions and discoveries across many different fields of science and technology. We're proud to see one of our Foundation Fellows on the list, Australian physicist and humanitarian Sir Mark Oliphant AC KBE FTSE (elected in 1975). Recently inducted Fellows on the list include green steel innovator Scientia Professor Veena Sahajwalla FTSE FAA from UNSW (elected in 2022), and Nobel Laureate and astrophysicist Professor Brian Schmidt AC FTSE FRS FAA (elected in 2023).

ATSE Fellows are developing clean energy solutions, quantum computing technology, plant science insights and so much more. Find out all about the Top 100 scientists on the Science Show, and find the full list of ATSE Fellows named in the list below.
