STEM educators are invited to tour the ANU School of Cybernetics to hear about some of the diverse and creative projects underway at the school and play with PANIC, an interactive installation powered by generative AI.
Visit the ANU School of Cybernetics, the first new school at the ANU in over 40 years. Here we delight in unpacking complex systems to understand how technology, people and environment intersect and interact.
You will wander through Level 3 of the Birch Building, hear about some of the diverse and creative projects underway at the school and play with PANIC, an interactive installation powered by generative AI.
About the School of Cybernetics
Cybernetics is the study of effective action in complex, dynamic systems (think climate change, new technologies like AI and social unrest). At the ANU School of Cybernetics we are building capability to help people solve the challenging issues of our time. Our people and programs blend education, research and engagement to support students, collaborators and the public to tackle the challenges posed by technology at scale
About STEM Beyond School
STEM Beyond School is a professional engagement program for secondary school Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) teachers and educators across Australia, facilitated by the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (ATSE).
STEM Beyond School is an initiative by the STELR team, which links teachers with professionals from a range of fields within STEM industries, with the goal of giving educators the most up-to-date understanding of industry trends, opportunities and needs for future employees.
