With a background in clean water technologies, Monash University Professor Huanting Wang FTSE will take us towards the cutting-edge technologies for water desalination and purification.

Lara Olsen is Managing Director of South East Water and director of its subsidiary Iota She is also a director of the Water Services Association of Australia and Chair of the Industry and Consumer Reference Group for Solar Victoria.
Before joining South East Water, Lara was the Global Head of Business Development and Industrial Products for Tesla Energy based in the USA. She also led Tesla’s Business Development and Industrial Products team for the Asia Pacific. Previous roles include Head of Strategy for CitiPower Powercor and the Australian Renewable Energy Agency, Project Leader with the Boston Consulting Group and co-founding Billcap, an energy software-as-a-service company.
Lara holds a BEng (Hons) / BA from the University of Melbourne and an MBA from INSEAD. She is a member of Chief Executive Women.

Huanting Wang is an ARC Laureate Fellow and a Sir John Monash Distinguished Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Monash University. Prof Wang’s research focuses on advanced membranes and nanomaterials for gas separation, water desalination and purification, chiral separation, ion transport and separation, fuel cells and electrolysis.
Prof Wang has co-authored more than 460 journal papers and his patents on membranes for water purification and desalination, acid recovery and lithium extraction have been licensed to six companies.
Prof Wang is a Fellow of the Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering, the Royal Society of Chemistry, and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
